There are two main(popular) accounting bodies in England that they are CIMA and ACCA. CIMA is more to become a management accountant while ACCA is to become a financial accountant. ACCA is more popular in my opinion. They have similar but different exam modules. To be qualified, you need to pass all the papers and acheive relevant practical
experience. Having a relevant degree i.e. Finance or accounting, will allow a few exemption from the exam papers but it depends.
Best thing is to log on to their web-site and contact the body to seek more sufficient advice.
